Iraq Reconstruction:
- Removed Saddam Hussein from power.
- Foreign donors have pledged an estimated $16.4 billion in grants and loans to Iraqi reconstruction.
- NATO and US Armed Forces have helped contribute personnel, equipment, and facilities to the training of Iraqi security forces.
- On November 26, 2007, Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and President Bush signed a "Declaration of Principles," expressing the decisions of both governments to work.
Iraq rebuilding government was a success because of the formation of a new Iraqi government that would grow into a parliamentary republic. This was the goal and got rid of dictator Saddam Hussein.
